Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Lakers franchise were jointly announced by the NBA and National Basketball Players Association to have taken the top spots on the NBA's Most Popular Jersey and Team Merchandise lists.

Slovenian athlete Dončić is the first player from outside the country to lead the list of most popular jerseys. He is also the first player to do so since the 2012–13 regular season (Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks) who is not Stephen Curry or LeBron James. Dončić's trade to the Lakers has been the main driver of the 21% increase in jersey sales on NBAStore.com since the NBA trade deadline on February 6.
