How to Make Iced Coffee
Start by mixing water (either cool or lukewarm) with ground coffee in a large pitcher. Stir the mixture and let it sit for approximately 8 hours. I typically prepare this before going to bed and leave it covered in the refrigerator overnight. Once it has steeped, strain the coffee using a coffee filter or a combination of cheesecloth and a fine mesh strainer. This process can take a few minutes, which is completely normal. I usually begin straining after waking up and check it once I've gotten our toddler ready and taken care of myself, which is about 30-45 minutes later.

Now you have your iced coffee concentrate. This amount usually lasts me several days to a week. To serve, fill a glass with ice and pour in the chilled iced coffee. I enjoy it plain or with a few generous tablespoons of cream. Alternatively, you can freeze some of the iced coffee into ice cubes to use in future batches for a stronger coffee flavor.
