The house's bones is an important part for home's fresh and comfortable design. When the house already had such great details and architecture, you can give it its own personality. You can also incorporated with your own signature style, such as mixing modern and traditional motifs with a touch of the bohemian—throughout the space, using statement-making rugs and bold wallpaper to drive the rest of the color palette.The arched windows were killer here. Also, the staircase that was original to the house. Both tied in with the beautiful arches and curves throughout the space.

An Original Fireplace

The original fireplace is the designer's favourite. The built-in seating nooks, topped with cozy cushions, on either side of the mantel provide even more architectural interest.

Inspired Flooring

The woven stair tread adds a natural touch, and textiles are also featured on the house's second staircase. The herringbone wooden flooring is another simple yet striking design detail.

The Minimalist Kitchen
The design of the kitchen is simple, with painted the island Farrow & Ball's "Down Pipe" as a way to ground the space. The Exquisite detail of this room is the barstools. They're a great combination of comfortable, cool, and practical.

A Curated Dining Space
The cozy family activity room also serves as a dining area. The breakfast nook is an added feature that makes use of an otherwise unused corner, giving it new life. It ultimately becomes one of the most frequently used spaces.

A Statement Place
The family room, in general, was a big focus, given it's where most of the people's time is spent. It was designed around the blue leather John Pomp chair. The vintage textile sourced for the custom ottoman inspired the rest of the room's color palette.

The Elizabeth Eakins window shade in the spa-like master bath was thoughtfully selected to tie in with the adjacent bedroom; its motif is subtly repeated there in the rug.
