How to make BLAT Toasts at home?
Ingredients (makes 2 toasts):
- 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread, toasted
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 4 strips crispy bacon
- 1 small tomato, sliced
- A few leaves of romaine or butter lettuce
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: drizzle of lemon juice or hot sauce
Instructions:
- Toast the Bread: Toast slices until golden and crisp.
- Prep the Avocado: Mash avocado with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon (optional). Spread evenly on the toast.
- Layer It Up: Top each slice with lettuce, tomato slices, and 2 strips of bacon.
- Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with black pepper, drizzle with hot sauce if desired, and enjoy immediately.
