How to make BLAT Toasts at home?


Ingredients (makes 2 toasts):

  • 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread, toasted
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 4 strips crispy bacon
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • A few leaves of romaine or butter lettuce
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: drizzle of lemon juice or hot sauce

Instructions:

  1. Toast the Bread: Toast slices until golden and crisp.
  2. Prep the Avocado: Mash avocado with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon (optional). Spread evenly on the toast.
  3. Layer It Up: Top each slice with lettuce, tomato slices, and 2 strips of bacon.
  4. Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with black pepper, drizzle with hot sauce if desired, and enjoy immediately.
